The international community has recently had its eyes on the arrests of Canadian citizens in China, with a report referring to the CCP’s actions as similar to a bandit “taking a hostage.” The Canadian government confirmed on January 3 that since the arrest of Huawei CFO Meng Wanzhou, a total of 13 Canadian citizens have been arrested in China. On January 4, a coalition of representatives from multi-ethnic Canadian communities held a demonstration and a march in front of the Chinese Consulate in Toronto demanding that the CCP immediately release arrested Canadian citizens, shut down their concentration camps, and stop their human rights abuses.

On August 31, 2018, agents assigned by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) organized some relatives of Christians from The Church of Almighty God (CAG) who had fled to South Korea from China, to hold a press conference at the Jeju Parliament under the pretext of “seeking for relatives.” They strongly requested the Korean authorities to deport the displaced Christians back to China. 

Between September 1 and September 4, Ms. O (吴某, Ms. Wu), a pro-Chinese Korean activist, recruited professional demonstrators along with some relatives of CAG Christians to stage false “spontaneous” demonstrations respectively at the CAG communities in Seoul and Chungcheongbuk-do, and before the Blue House, the executive office of the President of South Korea.

Recently in mainland China,the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) government has completely banned online sales of the Bible. E-commerce platforms such as Taobao, JD.com, and Dangdang have already removed listings for the Bible and other Christian literature, and some retailers have even had their E-shops seized up. Just think of the events in recent years— the CCP has dispatched armed police to demolish, to tear down a number of crosses and churches, and some really beautiful and impressive churches have been demolished. This has been heartbreaking and painful for many believers; so many Christians have surrounded these churches in tears, only able to persist in praying to God. Numerous facts show that the CCP government's persecution of religious beliefs is becoming more and more serious and it has reached the point of insanity. It is widely known that the CCP government has persecuted religious beliefs for a long time; when it came to power in 1949, it defined Christianity and Catholicism as cults, openly suppressing and persecuting these religions. It defined the Bible as cult literature and confiscated and destroyed countless copies. In 1995, the CCP government then added many house churches to its list of cults, and among them the persecution of The Church of Almighty God has been particularly severe. It has even taken up the slogan: "Troops Won't Be Withdrawn Until the Ban Is Done." It has mobilized armed police and army troops to hunt down defenseless Christians. The CCP government openly oppresses religious beliefs, and many foreigners have expressed confusion. Why would the CCP government define Christianity and Catholicism as cults, and suppress and persecute them? Religious Seminar in Australia: Focusing on the Current Situation of Religious Persecution in China

On April 4, 2018, a seminar was held at the Chapel of the Australian Centre for Christianity and Culture in Canberra at 3 p.m. local time, the topic of which is Religion and the State in the People’s Republic of China. During the seminar, the current difficulties faced by China’s religious beliefs under the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP’s) dictatorial rule were discussed. China, a country who declared the freedom of religion. In order to get more money, the CCP arrests and tortures Christian in the background. Finally, I know the true colors of the CCP after watching below movie.

Wang Dongdong started to believe in the Lord Jesus along with his parents since he was little. In 2001, his whole family accepted Almighty God’s kingdom gospel. In 2011, his elder brother was arrested because of believing in God. Wang Dongdong and his parents were forced to flee their home. In 2012 when he was in exile, he heard the news that his mother passed away due to sickness while hiding from the hunting of the police. Wang was arrested by the Chinese SWAT officers in 2013 because of preaching the gospel, and he was tortured by them for three months and eleven days. After his release, he had no choice but to flee abroad in order to escape from the CCP’s persecution.

February 15, 2018, a seminar with the theme of “Religious Liberty as a Global Problem” was convened at the University Club of the University of Southern California. HRWF International Calls on EU States to Heed and Learn About The Church of Almighty God

Recently, Human Rights Without Frontiers International (HRWF International) issued a document on its official website urging the authorities of all European Union member states to grant political asylum to Christians of The Church of Almighty God (CAG), who have fled overseas due to the brutal persecution against their faith. Prior to this, nine international non-governmental organizations (NGOs), including CAP Freedom of Conscience (CAPLC), Center for Studies on New Religions (CESNUR), and European Interreligious Forum for Religious Freedom (EIFRF), had jointly denounced the CCP's suppression and persecution on CAG. With the escalating suppression on religious beliefs by the CCP government, tens of thousands of CAG Christians have been arrested and victimized, many of whom were forced to flee to numerous European countries to seek political asylum. However, most applicants have been rejected by the authorities. Their outlooks are grim as they are at risk of being repatriated at any time. Studies by experts have disclosed that, in order to conceal its crime for suppressing and persecuting CAG, the Chinese government has been conducting a massive media offensive internationally to generate false news stories, malicious fabrications and defamation against CAG, making it difficult for refugee agencies of European countries to objectively learn about CAG, much less verify the real situations of individual Christians having been persecuted in China. Mr. Willy Fautré, executive director of HRWF International, calls on governments of EU member states to change their views on CAG. A few days ago, our correspondent visited CAG in France for an understanding of these exiled Christians' current conditions.

From January 18 to 19, 2018, the first large-scale conference on law and human rights was ushered in Florence, Italy. This conference was organized by the European Federation for Freedom of Belief (FOB) on the theme of "Law and Freedom of Belief in Europe, a Difficult Journey." The conference explored how to effectively protect the right to freedom of belief and religion for immigrants and refugees in Europe by legal means, with the aim to create a social environment where people can live in peace and mutual understanding.
