Question 2: The truths in the Bible are already complete. Having the Bible is enough for our belief in God. We don’t need any new words!

       Answer: The content recorded by the Bible is limited. The Old Testament only recorded the work of Jehovah God, while the New Testament only recorded the work of the Lord Jesus. But regarding God’s work of the last days, the Bible only contains prophecies. The precise details are not recorded in the Bible. This is because the work of God in the last days is judgment work, it is new work outside of the Bible. God is the Expressor of truth, and moreover the Ruler of all things in the universe. His richness is inexhaustible and always in supply. He cannot be fathomed by any created being. Therefore, the content of the Bible cannot completely explain all of God’s deeds. Let’s read a passage of Almighty God’s word! Almighty God says, “All that is recorded within the Bible is limited and unable to represent all the work of God. The Four Gospels have fewer than one hundred chapters altogether in which are written a finite number of happenings, such as Jesus cursing the fig tree, Peter’s three denials of the Lord, Jesus appearing to the disciples following His crucifixion and resurrection, teaching about fasting, teaching about prayer, teaching about divorce, the birth and genealogy of Jesus, Jesus’ appointment of the disciples, and so forth. These are but a few writings, yet man values them as treasures, even verifying the work of today against them. They even believe that Jesus only did so much in the time after His birth. It is as if they believe God can only do this much, that there can be no further work. The Old Testament chronicles the history of Israel and Jehovah’s work from the time of creation until the end of the Age of Law. The New Testament records Jesus’ work on earth, which is in the Four Gospels, as well as the work of Paul; are they not historical records? Bringing up the things of the past today makes them history, and no matter how true or real they might be, they are still history—and history cannot address the present. For God does not look back on history! And so, if you only understand the Bible, and understand nothing of the work God intends to do today, and if you believe in God but do not seek the work of the Holy Spirit, then you do not understand what it means to seek God. If you read the Bible in order to study the history of Israel, to research the history of God’s creation of all the heavens and earth, then you do not believe in God. But today, since you believe in God, and pursue life, since you pursue the knowledge of God, and do not pursue dead letters and doctrines, or an understanding of history, you must seek God’s will of today, and must look for the direction of the Holy Spirit’s work. How does God judge and cleanse people in the last days? Throughout all these years that I’ve believed in the Lord, I thought that it’d be great if there came a time when people no longer sinned. At that time, my life would no longer be painful!

Question 3: It’s written, “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus …” (Rom 8:1). Because we believe in Christ Jesus, it has already been guaranteed that we won’t be condemned and can enter the kingdom of heaven!

　　Answer: You guys think that as long as you believe in Jesus Christ, you’re already in Jesus Christ. That is your conception. When we talk about “those who are within Jesus”, we are not referring to everyone that believes in Lord Jesus. The majority of people that believe in Lord Jesus cannot obtain God’s praise. “For many are called, but few are chosen.” Some of those who are not chosen only believe in the Lord to gain something from it. Some people that believe in the Lord never loved and never will love the truth, nor will they ever implement the truth. Some people even do evil in resistance to God, especially religious leaders. The majority of them walk the path of the Pharisees; they are all anti-Christs. Some people just believe in Christ in name; they’re non-believers. If you say all those who believe in Lord Jesus are already in Jesus, those words don’t carry any weight! “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus….” Which group of people does this really refer to? Those who can keep God’s commandments, implement the truth and obey God. That is to say, those who believe in the Lord, pursue the truth and obtain life, those that who can obey Jesus and refrain from committing acts of evil in resistance to God, those that who are completely in unison with Jesus. Those are the people who are within Jesus. It’s certainly not the case that everyone who believes in Lord Jesus is within Jesus. There are some believers whose faith is not acknowledged by God. “Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in your name? and in your name have cast out devils? and in your name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess to them, I never knew you: depart from me, you that work iniquity” (Mat 7:22-23). Are you saying those who serve the Lord’s name, spread his doctrines, cast out demons and exhibit many different skills are within Jesus? Are they not all people that have been condemned? Therefore, “faith in Jesus Christ” and “being in Jesus Christ” are two different things. Those that believe in the Lord but cannot earn His praise have not entered Jesus because God’s work of salvation does not proceed the way everyone thinks it does. All people who believe in God can be saved, but many of them will be abandoned, especially those who know the truth but sin anyway. These sins include: eating sacrificial offerings, denying God, betraying God, failing to implement the truth, being timid or adulterous, etc. Those people will still be condemned and abandoned by God. Those who commit great acts of evil will be punished. It is just as it says in Hebrews 10:26: “For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remains no more sacrifice for sins” (Heb 10:26). Therefore, we can see that not all believers are in Christ. Only those that believe in the Lord and love the truth, those that are able to pursue the truth and obey Jesus, those that really know Jesus, those that have no conceptions about Jesus, that do not rebel or resist Him, those that take Jesus’s heart as their heart and can implement God’s will Those are the people who have entered Jesus. They are the ones who will obtain God’s praise and enter His kingdom.

　　Answer: As for this problem, Almighty God has already given us a clear answer. Almighty God says, “If you do not seek the way of life provided by Christ of the last days, then you shall never gain the approval of Jesus, and shall never be qualified to enter the gate of the kingdom of heaven, for you are both a puppet and prisoner of history. Those who are controlled by regulations, by letters, and shackled by history will never be able to gain life, and will never be able to gain the perpetual way of life. That is because all they have is turbid water that has lain stagnant for thousands of years, instead of the water of life that flows from the throne. If you only try to hold on to the past, only try to keep things as they are by standing still, and do not try to change the status quo and discard history, then will you not always be against God? The steps of God’s work are vast and mighty, like surging waves and rolling thunders—yet you sit and passively await destruction, sticking to your folly and doing nothing. In this way, how can you be considered someone who follows the footsteps of the Lamb? How can you justify the God that you hold on to as a God who is always new and never old? And how can the words of your yellowed books carry you across into a new age? How can they lead you to seek the steps of God’s work? And how can they take you up to heaven? What you hold in your hands is the letters that can provide but temporary solace, not the truths that are capable of giving life. The scriptures you read are that which can only enrich your tongue, not words of wisdom that can help you know human life, much less the ways that can lead you to perfection. Does this discrepancy not give you cause for reflection? Does it not allow you to understand the mysteries contained within? Are you capable of delivering yourself to heaven to meet God on your own? Without the coming of God, can you take yourself into heaven to enjoy family happiness with God? Are you still dreaming now? I suggest, then, that you stop dreaming, and look at who is working now, at who is now carrying out the work of saving man during the last days. If you do not, you shall never gain the truth, and shall never gain life.

　　Since I first began believing in Almighty God, end-time Christ, I really admired those brothers and sisters who were following along at Christ’s side, who could personally receive Christ’s shepherding and hear His utterances with their own ears. I felt that it would be wonderful if I were able to hear Christ speak myself one day, and it would be even more glorious if I could see Him with my own eyes. But lately, through listening to Christ’s fellowship, I have come to feel deeply in my heart that I am not fit to see Christ.

　　It was when Sermons and Fellowship on Entry Into Life 1-3 were issued. After listening to the first volume of fellowship, I felt that the man used by the Holy Spirit spoke very well. When I heard Christ’s fellowship in the second volume, at the time I didn’t know it was His fellowship; I surmised this was probably a leader under the man used by the Holy Spirit, and especially when Christ fellowshiped about the issue of how to view knowledge, I didn’t hear a very enthusiastic reaction from my brothers and sisters, so I was certain my guess was correct. I felt that speaker didn’t speak as well as the man used by the Holy Spirit, so I wasn’t listening carefully. When hearing the third volume, after the fellowship by the man used by the Holy Spirit, I heard Christ say, “About the brother’s fellowship just now…” and I was even more certain that this speaker must be a leader under the man used by the Holy Spirit, because in the world, leaders always speak first, and their subordinates speak afterward. So I hit the button and turned off the player, thinking, “I’ll listen to this later when I have time.” On the day I learned from my leader that it was actually Christ’s fellowship, I was shocked, and finally listened seriously to every word of the sermon.

Questions and Answers on How to Discern the Voice of God (3)

Question 3: What is the difference between God’s words conveyed by prophets such as Isaiah, Ezekiel, and Daniel from the Age of Law, and the words expressed by God in the flesh?

　　Answer: Due to the difference between the essence of the incarnate God and the prophets, the incarnate God comes to do God’s work whereas the prophets only performed the duty of man. So the nature of their work is different. Let’s see how Almighty God says it. Almighty God says, “The prophets of the Old Testament made prophecies, and similarly, so could Jesus. Why is this so? The distinction here is based on the nature of the work. In order to discern this matter, you cannot consider the nature of the flesh and you should not consider the depth or superficiality of one’s words. Always you must first consider his work and the effects his work achieves in man. The prophecies spoken by Isaiah at the time did not supply the life of man, and the messages received by those such as Daniel were merely prophecies and not the way of life. If not for the direct revelation of Jehovah, none could have done that work, for it is not possible for mortals. Jesus, too, spoke much, but such words were the way of life from which man could find a path to practice. That is to say, first, He could supply the life of man, for Jesus is life; second, He could reverse the deviations of man; third, His work could succeed that of Jehovah in order to carry on the age; fourth, He could grasp the needs of man within and understand what man lacks; fifth, He could usher in a new age and conclude the old. That is why He is called God and Christ; not only is He different from Isaiah but also from all other prophets” (“The Difference Between the Ministry of the Incarnate God and the Duty of Man” in The Word Appears in the Flesh). From the word of Almighty God, we realize that the incarnate God performs His own ministry and does the work within the management of God that represents the work of an era, and that the word He expresses is for all mankind. However, the prophets were those used by God to do the duty of man when He worked in the Age of Law. The prophets just conveyed the word of God through the inspiration of Jehovah God by stating some prophecies, giving some warnings to people or doing some sporadic work. If we can distinguish between the prophets’ duties and the incarnate God’s ministry, we can see the difference between the word of God conveyed by the prophets and the word expressed by the incarnate God. We all know that the prophets were people raised up in various periods of the Age of Law to convey God’s word. The main function of the prophets was to state the prophecies while conveying God’s requirements, commands, as well as God’s exhortations, reminders, warnings, and words of punishment to the Israelites or others. For example, when the evil deeds of the Ninevites came up before God, God sent Jonah to Nineveh to proclaim, “Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown” (Jon 3:4). It can be seen that the prophets only conveyed the word of Jehovah in various periods. They did not do the work of any particular age. The words of God conveyed by the prophets were something like prophecies, exhortations, reminders, warnings and so on, not expressing all the truth for the salvation of mankind. As for the word of God incarnate, He comes to do a stage of work and speaks to all mankind in the identity of God, expressing His management plan for the salvation of mankind, His disposition, what He has and what He is, His requirements of man and the truth that mankind must possess. These words are the work that can open a new age and end an old age, and they are addressed to all mankind. They represent God’s work in this age and are all the truth that God’s chosen people have to experience and enter within this age. These words can supply life to man, make man repent, change man’s disposition, save and cleanse man and make man perfect.
